The Bouvet Ladubay Contemporary Art Center presents, from June 1st to September 29th, “Peindre pour dire le monde” (“Paint to tell the world”), an exhibition by Christian Sorg.
«Christian Sorg, wherever he is, names the world while painting, as others tell us about it while sleeping», Sylvain Amic, General Curator of Heritage, Director of Museums, Cultural Advisor.
From June 1st to September 29th 2024 the artist exhibits a set of paintings, monotypes on canvas and drawings in the 8 halls of the Bouvet Ladubay Contemporary Art Center in Saumur.
A choice of around forty works, evoking certain aspects of his painting, monotypes on canvas, works on paper, from 1989 to 2024.
This selection highlights his pictorial choices, his sources of inspiration in the country where he likes to live and work in the south of Aragon, and that of the Vézelay region, in the workshops of Fontenille.
